Types of data processing and storage

Contact forms

If you fill out the contact form and send it, the information (data) given there will be transmitted to us. This is done by e-mail. The e-mail will be stored on our mail servers. The e-mails are checked at regular intervals and e-mails that are no longer needed are deleted. We point out possible legal retention periods.

Newsletter

For our newsletter we use the MailPoet plugin from Wysija SARL, 6 rue Dieudé 13006, Marseille FRANCE. Your data is stored exclusively on the servers of our hosting provider. An access is excluded for unauthorized third and particularly the Plugin offerer. We store at least your E-Mail address. If you wish, we also store your first name and/or surname. So we can address you also personally in our newsletters. These details are not necessary for the receipt of the newsletter and are therefore voluntary.

Contents: Our newsletters contain advertising, information and offers on topics on this website.

Registration: A registration form is available for you to register for our newsletters. After you have completed your data entry, you will receive a confirmation email. With a click on the link contained there you confirm your subscription. This way we can be sure that nobody misuses your data and that it was you who subscribed to the newsletter. Please understand that this is the only way we can add you to our mailing list. The registration procedure is logged by saving your IP address when you register. We need this storage as proof of your consent.

Success measurement: Our newsletters contain a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file which is retrieved from our server when the newsletter is opened. We have not booked any further trackings with the plugin provider, so that we only see an opening and click rate in the total. So we can see how many recipients have opened the newsletter and if they have used a link. However, we cannot track whether you personally performed these actions.

Unsubscribe/cancel/revoke: You have the option to cancel or revoke your subscription at any time. To do this, you will find a link at the end of each of our newsletters that can be clicked on to take you to the page where you can cancel or edit your subscription. Your decision will take immediate effect. In rare cases, there may be a brief overlap between the time you unsubscribe and the time you receive a newsletter. Based on our legitimate interests, we may store the unsubscribed email addresses and IP address for up to three years before deleting them. This serves as proof of your previous consent. The processing of this data is limited to the purpose of a possible defence against claims. An individual deletion request is possible at any time, provided that the former existence of a consent is confirmed at the same time.

legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a, Art. 7 GDPR i.V.m. § 7 Abs. 2 Nr. 3 UWG bzw. § 7 Abs. 3 UWG

Integration of third-party services and content

In order to provide you with an optimal user experience on this website, we use the services of third parties. For this use, the IP address you use is transmitted to the service by your browser (Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Crome or similar) when you visit our website. Imagine the IP address as a postal address. Without the IP address, the service would not know where to send the requested data, for example to display a font or a map. Why is this relevant under data protection law? In principle, the service provider can use your IP address to store which website you have visited. We try to use third-party services that only use your IP address to deliver the requested services and do not use it for other purposes.
