Under a thick white blanket of snow, it is like being under the covers as a child, warm and safe as in mother’s lap. Perhaps we instinctively feel the closeness to our family and ancestors again in winter. From this feeling comes a security in which we can withdraw from external activity and relax. Our spirit comes to rest and can draw the essence from the experiences of the year. 

The cycles of year and day are alike. Summer and winter are like day and night.
In the night, at some point, we let go of thoughts and external activities and return to where we came from. Our energy gathers and concentrates within and is naturally preserved.  

At this time of year, the invisible comes more to the foreground. It is in the invisible that we meet our ancestors and can talk to them about how we feel.  
It is a bit like the family gathering around the fire in the warm parlour. Some old stories come to light. Viewed from the heart, we find the feeling for the background again and the stories can change. 

Everything is connected. What does it mean then when we say: „our ancestors“? The ancestors are our root, it reaches back to the origin and connects us with everyone. The more energy we have, the clearer becomes our feeling about it.  At ip (international practice) Dàxuě we can experience this deep connection on a spiritual level and connect with the natural cycle.
